New Wind Fairing for Element Tent Rack

Our Element rooftop platform rack is Made in America with American materials. However in our early testing, we noticed that our original wind fairing design had a vibration noise issue, (seen below). It worked when weight was added to the rack, such as a tent or travel pack. But soon as you ran the rack with nothing on top, the fairing would pick up a vibration noise at 50-60 mph. So we created this new wind fairing (above). It’s double-ply aluminum, bolted to a steel crossbar behind it. It’s strong enough to mount a light bar, but doesn’t carry over the wind noise.
