When will your racks be available for purchase?
Our 2nd Gen. CR-V 206 Adventure Rack will be available for purchase Spring ‘23.
How much do these roof top platform racks weigh?
311 Adventure Rack for Honda Element weight about 64 lbs, (give or take).
What materials do you use to make these racks?
Our rack’s side panels and brackets are made with 10 gauge steel. The custom fabricated crossbars are made with 14 gauge steel, and the wind fairing is dual paneled aluminum. Stainless and zinc coated hardware is included.
Will you make an all aluminum version?
We currently are testing aluminum versions for both the Element and CRV. If they perform well and handle the weight, then we’ll release them this spring/summer ‘23. They’ll be more $$$ though:(
How much weight will these racks hold?
We recommend up to 250 lbs in motion and up to 600 lbs when camping.
Will this rack fit any Element model/year?
Yes. It’s called the “311” rack to reference all the model years the Element was produced (‘03-’11). All Elements, not mater the year, trim level or paint/plastic version, will work with this rack.
What about Elements with moon roofs or rear spoilers?
The Element 311 Adventure Rack was designed to work with both moon roofs and rear spoiler accessories. Popping your sunroof is no problem. However, if you wish to take your sun roof off and on, then you’ll need to remove 2 crossbars above it, or reroute those crossbars forward and run a rear stabilizer bar.
Do your racks require any upkeep?
We recommend routinely checking the rack’s hardware and tightening as needed when using regularly. Especially if you’ve just mounted a tent or gear with some weight to it. Some serious off road drivers may want to apply locktite to the bolt configurations, as well as maintain any corrosion with rust-oleum.
